Russia Putin Prisoner Swap

Russian President Vladimir Putin meets Russian citizens released after the Russian-US prisoner swap in Turkiye at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia. On August 1, Ankara hosted the Russian-US exchange of 26 individuals held in prisons in the US, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Russia, and Belarus. Ten of the prisoners exchanged, including two minors, went to Russia, 13 to Germany, and three to the US. Those returned to Russia include Artem and Anna Dultsev with their children, Vadim Krasikov, Pavel Rubtsov, Mikhail Mikushin, Roman Seleznev, Vladislav Klyushin, and Vadim Konoshchenok.

Russia Ukraine Military Operation Shelling Aftermath

Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and police officers work at the site of a collapsed entrance in a residential building damaged by a Ukrainian military strike amid Russia's military operation in Ukraine, in Belgorod, Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on Sunday, Kiev launched Tochka-U missiles and Vilkha and Vampire MLRS shells at the city of Belgorod. Russian air defenses intercepted six missiles and six MLRS shells. Debris from a Tochka-U missile damaged a residential building. The shelling resulted in casualties and injuries.

Russia WWII Aircraft Restoration

In this handout video grab released by the Winged Memory of Victory foundation a Polikarpov I-16 fighter aircraft, which was restored by enthusiasts of the Winged Memory of Victory project ahead of the Victory Day marking the 79th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two, flies in the sky over Novosibirsk, Russia. Fragments of the Soviet WWII fighter were found in Karelia in 1992 and transported to Novosibirsk. The production and restoration of the aircraft structural elements were carried out by the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant and Aviarestavratsiya company. The final assembly, ground and flight tests of the I-16 took place at the Siberian Aviation Research Institute named after Chaplygin. Editorial use only, no archive, no commercial use.
