Marina Neyolova's 65th birthday

Actress, People’s Artist of the Russian SFSR Marina Neyolova was born on January 8, 1947. Among her onstage roles are Ranevskaya in Anton Chekhov’s “Cherry Orchard,” Maria Antonovna in Nikolai Gogol’s “Inspector-General,” Anfisa in the play of the same name by Leonid Andreyev, Yevgenia Semyonovna in Yevgenia Ginzburg’s “Journey into the Whirlwind,” Elizabeth in “Playing Schiller” (an edition of Schiller’s “Mary Stewart”), Princess Kosmonopolis and Heavenly in “Sweet Bird of Youth.” \nNeyolova is a winner of the Lenin Komsomol Prize, All-Union Film Festival Prize, the Brothers Vasiliev Prize of the Russian SFSR (1981) for the role in the film “Autumn Marathon” and a prize for the lead role in the play “Journey into the Whirlwind” at the Sovremennik Theater (1990). Presented the Nika Award in 1993 for Best Actress (the film “You are My Only One”). Winner of the Crystal Turandot Prize in 1997 and the Stanislavsky Prize in 1999 for the role if Ranevskaya in “Cherry Orchard.” Winner of the Triumph Prize. Won the State Prize of the Russian Federation for the role of Elizabeth in the “Playing Schiller” in 2011.
