Actor Vladimir Konkin marks 60th birthday

Vladimir Konkin, Soviet and Russian stage and screen actor, Merited Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1974) and merited Artist of Russia (2010), was born on August 19, 1951 in Saratov. Konkin is widely known for his roles in the films "How the Steel Was Tempered", "A Lovers' Romance", "One-Two, Soldiers Were Going", and particularly for his role of Vladimir Sharapov in the popular TV mini-series "Can't Change the Meeting Place". The actor has provided voice for foreign films. Since 1980, Konkin has also been author of stories and essays.
