Relocating tenants from rundown and dilapidated housing in Trans-Baikal Territory

Chita. Viktor Kuzmichev looks from the window of his apartment in a new apartment building in the 9th Condominium Residential Area. His family moved into their new apartment under the 2020 program for relocating tenants from rundown and dilapidated housing. Prior to relocating, the family lived in a rundown local home. Over 450 residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory moved from rundown and dilapidated homes into apartments with all the amenities under the Housing and Urban Environment national project.

Antarctica Admiral Vladimirsky Expedition

A sailor of the Russian oceanographic research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky looks in binocular during an expedition to the shores of Antarctica. In December of 2019 the research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky went on a round-the-world expedition to the shores of Antarctica, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the continent’s opening by Russian naval sailors on the Vostok and Mirny sloops under the command of Thaddeus Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev, as well as to 250th birth anniversary of Admiral Ivan Kruzenshtern. The aim of the expedition is to conduct complex oceanographic research in the Antarctic region and along the route, determining the location of the island of Peter the Great and studying the parameters of the earth's magnetic field in order to clarify the position of the South Magnetic Pole.
