Art Cachalot Recycled Trash Exhibition

Krasnoyarsk. A woman admires a public art installation by Tatiana Vysokova called Push and Run. The installation consists of old newspapers, magazines and used office paper and is part of a trash art exhibition called Trash: Rebirth. The exhibition opened at the local Cultural Initiatives Center following the Art Cachalot creative contest and features 30 masterpieces by artists and 20 works by Krasnoyarsk Territory residents. All exhibits were made using obsolete items and components, as well as recycled mechanical trash, that eventually turned into art objects.

Log rafts drift down Angara River

The Krasnoyarsk Territory. After a long voyage, the main and auxiliary tugboats of the Yenisei Timber Rafting Office Co. tow a 900-meter raft consisting of Angara larches and pines, felled by lumberjacks, toward the confluence of the Angara and Yenisei rivers and the narrow waterway of the Strelkovsky Rapid, one of the most dangerous navigable sectors of the Angara River. The Yenisei Timber Rafting Office Co., one of the oldest enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has been delivering timber rafts for timber-exporting and and timber-processing companies, as well as for the Norilsk Nickel Ore Mining and Processing Works in the Extreme North.
