Monument to Vladimir Lenin on Lenin Square (now Independence Square) in Minsk in front of the Government House of the Belarusian SSR. In 1961, a US-manufactured N2-293 steam locomotive was installed at Finlyandsky (Finnish) Railway Station in Leningrad to commemorate Vladimir Lenin and the 1917 revolutionary events in Russia. On August 10 and October 7, 1917, Lenin rode this steam locomotive and illegally crossed the Finnish border. In 1964, a glass pavilion for the steam locomotive was built to a design by architects P.
