The monument to Basil I - the Moscow prince Vasily (Basil) the Dark, founder of Plyos - is the first and only monument to Prince Basil the First, the son and heir of Dmitry Donskoi, the long-term ruler of the Russian land, and the only monument to the pre-revolutionary Plyos.
