A memorial plaque to British sailor Geoffrey Shelton who served on Northern Convoys near the Monument to Countries of the Anti-Hitler Coalition in Murmansk. After World War II, Mr. Shelton researched the history of Northern Convoys to commemorate his fallen comrades. On May 7, 1975 a monument was unveiled on Chelyuskintsev Street in honor of the military commonwealth of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition during the Second World War. It was designed by architects A. Ganin and V. Andreyev. The monument resembles a hand holding the globe in its open palm.
