Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, former scout and communications officer, participant in the liberation of Bulgaria Alexei Skurlatov laying flowers at the Memorial Complex to soldiers who died during the war in the village of Kosikha, Altai Territory. Alexei served as a prototype for the famous “Alyosha” - a monument to Soviet soldiers-liberators in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.
