

World War II veteran Viktor Blagov, 94, receives congratulations ahead of Victory Day, marking the 81st anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two, in Naro-Fominsk, Moscow region, Russia. From the age of nine, as a ward of the 306th Regiment of the 32nd Rifle Division, he followed the unit's combat path from Naro-Fominsk to Koenigsberg and took part in the liberation of Minsk. Viktor Andreevich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, and the medal For Combat Merit.
