Russian President Vladimir Putin shakes hands with Chairman of the People's Assembly of Dagestan Zaur Askanderov alongside Dagestan's Transport Minister Dzhambulat Salavov and deputy of the People's Assembly of Dagestan Imran Avaev before a meeting with representatives of the Republic of Dagestan to discuss the election of the future head of the republic at the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia. Putin said on April 30 that head of Russia's Dagestan Republic Sergey Melikov was moving to another post.
