The logo of the home-improvement chain OBI is seen at its store in Moscow, Russia. The OBI chain, one of the largest DIY retailers on the Russian market, will change its name to Dom Lenta after it was bought out by structures of Alexei Mordashov's Severgroup. The German company OBI GmbH operated in Russia from 2003, closed its Russian stores and suspended operations in the country in March 2022 following the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine. It later exited the Russian business. Since that time, the main Russian legal entities of OBI have changed owners several times.
