The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Fregat upper stage carrying two Aist-2T remote sensing satellites and 50 small spacecrafts blasts off from the launchpad at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Amur Region, Russia. The Aist-2T satellites will enable stereometric (volumetric) imaging of the Earth's surface. The data from the satellites is planned to be used to create a 3D image database of the Earth's surface and to monitor emergencies.
