Former owner of the international UFS group and the Russian investment company Arbat Finance Elena Zheleznova, a defendant in a case of large-scale fraud involving the theft of 16 million Mechel shares, leaves following a verdict hearing at the Meshchansky District Court in Moscow, Russia. On December 2, the court ordered defendants to pay 560 million rubles in damages to Calridge Limited, the company that owned the Mechel shares, releasing them from criminal liability due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
