Spartak's fans pay their respects next to the coffin of Soviet and Russian football striker and coach Nikita Simonyan, who died at the age of 99 on November 24, during a farewell ceremony before his funeral at the Lukoil Arena in Moscow, Russia. A four-time Soviet Union champion, Simonyan played for Spartak Moscow, winning the USSR Cup twice and becoming the club's all-time top scorer with 160 goals. In 1956, he earned an Olympic gold medal as part of the Soviet national team at the Melbourne Games.
