Spartak's fans attend a farewell ceremony for Soviet and Russian football striker and coach Nikita Simonyan, who died at the age of 99 on November 24, before his funeral at the Lukoil Arena in Moscow, Russia. A four-time Soviet Union champion, Simonyan played for Spartak Moscow, winning the USSR Cup twice and becoming the club's all-time top scorer with 160 goals. In 1956, he earned an Olympic gold medal as part of the Soviet national team at the Melbourne Games.
