Father Frost, the Russian equivalent of Santa Claus, and Snow Maiden welcome children before their departure by train to Vladivostok at the railway station in the town of Veliky Ustyug, Vologda region, Russia. The project, launched by state-owned Russian Railways, sees Father Frost will complete his journey on a train from the capital of Primorye Territory to Veliky Ustyug through more than 70 cities in Russia, traveling thousands of kilometers to meet children nationwide.
