The plane carrying fugitive Moldovan tycoon and former lawmaker Vladimir Plahotniuc stands on the tarmac upon arrival at the airport in Chisinau, Moldova. Plahotniuc was detained in Greece on July 22 at the request of Interpol and extradited to Moldova, where he was taken under guard to a pre-trial detention facility. Moldovan authorities had restricted access to the airport in advance to prevent possible provocations.
