In this handout photo released by the Russian Pacific Fleet, Chinese servicemen take part in the opening ceremony of the joint Russian-Chinese Maritime Interaction-2025 naval exercise, held from August 1-5 in the Sea of Japan, to facilitate the exchange of experience between Russian Navy and Chinese Peoples Liberation Army Navy sailors, in the far Eastern port of Vladivostok, Russia. The exercise is defensive in nature and not directed against other countries," the statement of Russian Pacific Fleet said, adding that the exercise will consist of shore-based and maritime phases. A command headquarters will be set up in the city of Vladivostok.
