This high-yield White Leghorn Mediterranean egg-laying chicken breed was developed at the Experimental Pedigree Poultry-Breeding Farm of the All-Union Poultry Research and Development Institute, now the Zagorsk Experimental Pedigree Poultry-Breeding Farm - Selection-Genetic Center at the All-Russian Poultry Research and Development Technological Institute.
