

A pedestrian walks near the construction site of a new home arena of the Torpedo football club in Moscow, Russia. On July 10, the Control Disciplinary Committee of Russian Football Union excluded Torpedo Moscow from RPL participants of 2025/26 season due to an attempt of organizing the fixed matches in the official competition, which related to three club’s matches in 2024/25 First League season. Torpedo are also fined with five million rubles. The Committee also prohibited Valery Skorodumov, former general director of Torpedo, and the club’s owner Leonid Sobolev from engaging in football activities for ten and five years respectively. Еarlier in June the club's officials were detained over a bribery case opened against them.
