

People lay lowers at the Soviet border guards monument during an unveiling ceremony on the eve of the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, marking the 84th anniversary of the Nazi German invasion of the Soviet Union during the World War Two, at the Brest Hero-Fortress memorial complex in Brest, Belarus. The 3.5-metre high sculptural composition, donated by Russia and installed at the fortress' North Gate, symbolises the restoration of the state border in 1944.
