Cossacks and city administration representatives patrol banned beach areas asking trespassers to leave, in Anapa, Russia. Restrictions on beach access and warning banners have been put up along the coastline due to the consequences of two Russian fuel-laden tankers, the Volgoneft-212 and the Volgoneft-239, running aground in the Kerch Strait during a storm on December 15, 2024. The Russian Transport Ministry estimated that around 2,400 tonnes of oil products leaked into the sea.
