After Western sanctions prohibited sales of aircraft and aircraft parts to Russia in 2022, Aeroflot signed a contract with Russia's United Aircraft Corporation that provides for the delivery of 339 Russian-made jets by 2030. The deal includes 89 SSJ100s, dubbed SSJ-New.
