On February, 2024, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) detained in Crimea a group of individuals Vladimir Bondar, Oksana Shevchenko and Vladimir Ananyev who according to prosecutors were tasked with monitoring the travel routes of the head of Crimea to plan and execute the assassination.
