Residents take part in peaceful protests demanding the release of the detained head of the region Yevgenia Gutsul in front of Gagauzia's Executive Committee, in the city of Comrat, capital of Autonomous Territorial Entity of Gagauzia, Moldova. On March 25, the Moldovan National Anticorruption Center said that the head of Moldova's autonomous region of Gagauzia, Yevgenia Gutsul, had been detained for 72 hours within the investigation of a criminal case on illegal financing of the election campaign in 2023.
