

A replica of the first Russian-built automobile Yakovlev and Freze is on display at the museum complex of civil and military vehicles in Verkhyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. It was produced in 1896 by the Eugene Yakovlev engine factory and the Pyotr Freze carriage-manufacturing workshop and in the same year was exhibited at the Nizhny Novgorod Art Exhibition. The engine produced 2hp and was water-cooled by two copper heat exchangers placed along the sides of the rear of the vehicle. It could reach a speed of 21km/h (13mph). It weighed about 300kg and had a full tank with an autonomy of about 10 hours.
