

A view shows the Chinese cargo ship An Yang 2 that ran aground off the southwest coast of the Sakhalin Island, Russia. The cargo bulk carrier with a crew of 20 Chinese citizens ran aground late on February 8 due to a strong storm, but did not send a distress signal. There is no threat to the crew's lives and no evacuation is required, according to Rosmorrechflot. The vessel has about 700 tonnes of fuel oil, 50 tonnes of diesel fuel and about 1,000 tonnes of coal on board.
