Russian Emergency Situations Minister Alexander Kurenkov takes part in a ceremony to start the Arctic expedition, as part of the interdepartmental experimental research exercise "Safe Arctic-2025", in Murmansk, Russia. The large-scale expedition will be held in two stages. The first - through 9 northern regions in the format of a relay race and will be more than 12 thousand kilometers. The second - will take place on the continental part of the Chukotka Autonomous District, with a length of about 2.5 thousand kilometers. Comparative tests of domestic samples of all-terrain vehicles, equipment, gear and gear for solving problems in Arctic conditions are usually organized within the framework of the expedition.
