Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry take part in a ceremony to take fire from the Eternal Flame at the Monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during start of the Arctic expedition, as part of the interdepartmental experimental research exercise "Safe Arctic-2025", in Murmansk, Russia. The large-scale expedition will be held in two stages. The first - through 9 northern regions in the format of a relay race and will be more than 12 thousand kilometers. The second - will take place on the continental part of the Chukotka Autonomous District, with a length of about 2.5 thousand kilometers. Comparative tests of domestic samples of all-terrain vehicles, equipment, gear and gear for solving problems in Arctic conditions are usually organized within the framework of the expedition.
