A view shows Chukotka nuclear-powered icebreaker during the launching ceremony at the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg, Russia. Chukotka is the fifth icebreaker of Project 22220 built by the Baltic Shipyard under a contract with the Rosatom State Corporation. The future Chukotka icebreaker ship will be powered by two new RITM-200 reactors, presented by Rosatom in December 2023. The nuclear ship is planned to be ready for use by 2026.
