Celebration of the 250th anniversary of the official recognition of Buddhism in Russia in the Ivolginsky Datsan of the Buryat SSR (now the Republic of Buryatia) during the visit of the head of all Buddhists, the Dalai Lama XIV in July 1991. Buddhist believers gathered at the Ivolginsky Datsan during the service of His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV.
