

Lithuanian SSR. The Mother granite statue is a monument to the victims of Hitler's terror in the village of Pirčupis created Lithuanian sculptor Gediminas Jokubonis. During the Second World War, almost all the inhabitants of the village of Pirčupis were burned alive by the Nazi executioners: 119 people, including the elderly, children and women. A few people survived, including a shepherd who was grazing cattle in the forest near the village.
