World War Two veteran Konstantin Puganov is seen near his house in Tiraspol, Transnistria region, also known as the unrecognised Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), Moldova. Puganov took part in World War Two from September 1944, serving as a sailor in the Soviet Navy, then studied as a cadet at a naval school. He was awarded medals "For Battle Merit" and "For Victory over Germany".
