A complex seismological expedition in the Garm Region of the Tajik SSR, organized by the Schmidt Institute of Earth Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences (now the Russian Academy of Sciences) and the Institute of Earthquake Resistant Construction and Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Tajik SSR (now the Institute of Geology, Earthquake Resistant Construction and Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan) to create an earthquake forecasting system. A member of the Soviet-American working group on earthquake forecasting, biophysicist Ms. Sukhodolova studies the behavior of fish during seismological vibrations of the earth.
