

A delegation of IAEA inspects the Clinac linear accelerator at the Radionuclide Diagnostics and Therapy Department of the National Medical Research Center of Oncology, named after N.N. Blokhin, in Moscow, Russia. The Clinac linear accelerator is a state-of-the-art device used to irradiate the tumor site with low and high-energy X-rays right after tumor removal surgery, greatly reducing the chances of tumor recurrence and lowering mortality from this disease.
