Smoke rises after using stun grenades by the police in response to attempt of protesters to break through a cordon near the Armenian government building in Yerevan, Armenia. Clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan amid the recent escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh, have occurred in Yerevan’s central square. Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said on September 19 that Baku had launched local "anti-terrorist activities" in Nagorno-Karabakh to "restore the constitutional order" after four soldiers and two civilians died there in landmine explosions.
