Georgy Trapeznikov-Gerasimidi, a senior research associate at the Institute of Marxism-Leninism, affiliated with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, suggested establishing the Moscow Society of Soviet Greeks and became its first chairman.
