

Pianist Mikhail Pletnyov (b. 1957), USSR, a student of the Moscow Conservatory (Prof. Yakov Flier's class) won the first prize and gold medal performing at the VI International Contest named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky (June 9-July 7) in the Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
