World War Two veteran and retired militia colonel Manuil Davletshin stands on the balcony of his apartment during an event which aims to congratulate veterans with the upcoming Victory Day in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. In August 1944 he was conscripted into the Red Army at age 17 and was sent to Troitsk military school in Chelyabinsk region. After ten months of training in August 1945 he was referred to the 927th Assault Aviation Regiment, that was fighting against militarist Japan in the Far East. He was awarded with medals "For the Victory over Japan" and "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945".
