Turkmen SSR. Scientific-sports expedition Human and Desert is a hike in the Karakum desert in July-August 1984. The expedition was organized by the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the USSR Ministry of Health. Member of the expedition Helmut Hegele, radio operator and photographer.
