Turkmen SSR. Scientific-sports expedition Human and Desert is a hike in the Karakum desert in July-August 1984. The expedition was organized by the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the USSR Ministry of Health. After a day's rest, the participants continued their journey along the sand dunes.
