Armenian SSR. Celebrations in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, on the occasion of the consecration of myrrh, chrismation - a ritual holiday held every seven years - and the 75th anniversary of the Catholicos - Patriarch of All Armenians Vazgen I (Palchyan Levon Karapet Abramovich). For his contribution to the strengthening of peace, the Catholicos was awarded by the Soviet government the Orders of the Badge of Honor and Friendship of Peoples.
