Yerevan and Ankara have reached an agreement to rebuild the historic Bridge of Ani across the Akhurian River on the Armenian-Turkish border through joint efforts. Yerevan and Ankara currently do not have official diplomatic relations. The border between the two countries has been closed on Ankara's initiative since 1993.
