The water tower in Zaraisk ranks among the most interesting and memorable architectural landmarks dating to the early 20th century. It also serves as one of the best observation decks in the Moscow Region. The 29-meter tall octagonal and four-tier red-brick tower was completed in 1914-1916 to a design by Technician A. I. Filippov on the highest spot of the town. The tower pumped water to local buildings.
