The IAEA team has arrived at the site of the nuclear plant to inspect security conditions, amid fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces that prompted the shutdown of one reactor. The Zaporizhzhia NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and output. During the Russia's military operation in Ukraine the nuclear plant and surrounding area fell under the control by the Russian forces. The NPP has recently been targeted by multiple shelling, raising international concerns over a possible nuclear accident.
