An Orthodox priest stands near Russian flag-dropped coffins with the remains of Soviet soldiers, who died liberating Latvia during World War Two, during a reburial ceremony at the Brethren Cemetery in the city of Jekabpils, Latvia. This June the mass grave of Major-General Sergei Kupriyanov, colonels Gavriil Sharikalov and Sakhabutdin Gazeev was opened during the demolition of the memorial which by this time lost its original appearance.
