

Launch of the B-855 submarine into the open sea in protest against the regime introduced in the USSR by the State Committee on the State of Emergency and the removal of Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev from governing the country. Members of the crew of the submarine sign on the St. Andrew's flag, under which they went to the open sea during the August coup.
