An active participant in the partisan resistance movement in Ukraine and Czechoslovakia during the Great Patriotic War, commissar of the partisan brigade, Hero of the Soviet Union Vsevolod Klokov. In the postwar period, he was a historian, Doctor of History, professor and corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Klokov during a visit to the Kiev Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War (now the Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II).
