A view shows an ice arena under construction on the left bank of the Ob River, in Novosibirsk, Russia. The ice arena was originally intended to hold matches of the 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, which is due to start in December 2022. Russia's hosting rights were pulled in February 2022 in connection with Russia'a military operation in Ukraine. Despite the cancellation of the championship in Russia, construction plans have not changed.
